Wed - COLAB Collaborate 2 Learn (2-5)

During this hour, students will work collaboratively at different stations; problem solving, designing, building, and creating using different tools. Challenges will be given, and students must use different materials to complete the challenge. This is a great opportunity for students to use their leadership, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills to create, explore, and learn in a fun environment. Stations will include Keva Planks, Strawbees, Bee Bots, Cubelets, Drawing, Logic Puzzles, Legos and more.

Day one:

Name tags and snack
Get to know you activity
Review rules and clean-up procedures
Introduce station rotation concept

For each station, students will get a task card that must be completed. The task will change after the students have completed it. After the task is completed, the group will share their product and will then have free play at that station. Students will not be able to rotate through all four stations each day, so the stations will be changed after three weeks. If one station is more popular than another, the stations will be changed to give the students more time.
