Elevate your competitive math skills and performance to the next level, with professional guidance from a past math competition champion! The Math Competition Prep ASA class specifically focuses on preparing for and reviewing the math contests conducted in the Math Club (CML, NLMC) while having some fun along the way.

PLEASE NOTE: Participation in the Math Club is REQUIRED to be eligible to register for the Math Competition Prep ASA. This is NOT a math enrichment class.

Each weekly class will consist of a combination from the following:

* Practice on Past Contest Problems
* Review on Current Contest Problems
* Lecture on Common Concepts and Mistakes
* Group Discussion and Presentation
* Mini Games with Prizes

The class structure and components will be adjusted flexibly based on the math contests schedule and student needs that arise.

Currently serving as the tournament director of DMV Math Tournament and leading the RLC Math Club, I have a strong passion for competitive math and am very excited to get back into it to help our students. Below are my credentials and qualifications. I came to the U.S. in 5th grade and did not participate in elementary school math competitions, so the major middle school competitions are listed for reference instead.

Education:
* Cornell University - Bachelor's & Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Middle School Math Competition Achievements:
* California Mathematics League Championship: State 1st place (6th grade)
* MathCounts: Chapter 2nd place (7th grade)
* National Math and Science Competition: National 1st place (7th grade)
* MathCounts: State 1st place (8th grade)
* AMC 10/12: AIME qualifier (8th grade)

Suzie Lee (my wife) will be the backup instructor in case of my absence. Suzie is also a Cornell University graduate with an engineering degree and has some competitive math background through high school in Korea.
