Description

Backgammon is a fascinating game that strengthens cognitive skills while being fun and engaging. In this after-school program, children will exercise logic, pattern recognition, and memory, while also learning math concepts like counting and probability to enhance decision-making skills—all in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Program Outline
  • Introduction to the game, board setup, rules, and basic gameplay.
  • Strategies and gameplay practice.
  • Watch professional games, discussion, and gameplay.
  • Gameplay practice.
  • Introduction and practice with the doubling cube, review, and professional game observation.
  • Introduction to tournament play, culminating in a class tournament.

Kids will gain critical thinking skills, strategic insight, and confidence, all while enjoying the timeless game of Backgammon!
