Mental mathematics is the ability to solve math problems in your head without using paper, calculators, or other tools. It helps build number sense, improve memory, and increase speed and accuracy in everyday calculations. Students use patterns, shortcuts, and logic to perform operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division mentally. Mental math encourages quick thinking and problem-solving skills in real-life situations such as shopping or time management. Regular practice makes math feel easier, more fun, and boosts confidence in students.
